• Brief History

The firm was founded in March 1960 by the father of one of the present partners, Claude Boudoul.

In 1994, in order to allow external growth of the firm a holding company,  F2B Audit SA,
was created by Claude’s son, Jean-Philippe Boudoul, and Claude’s long term, trusted, staff member, Damien Baron. This structure took on the statutory audit assignments (as opposed to the accounting assignments which in France have to be strictly separated).

In 2002 the structure was extended with the acquisition of a neighbouring firm.

In 2004 the firm agreed to support a fellow chartered accountant to open a firm in Valenciennes (south east of Lille) and thus creates a regional network.

In 2006 a similar agreement was made with a colleague in Armentières (west of Lille).

In 2008 the firm acquired the share capital of AUDICE of Roubaix. This new acquisition  specialises in statutory audit and remains a separate entity in the A2B Group. Its principal representative, Nicolas Boone, remains in charge.

In 2010 the A2B Group concentrated all its components in Marcq en Baroeul situated at an approximate ten minute drive from Lille Central Station.

In 2013 in order for A2B Audit to open internationally agreement was reached with the first British Chartered Accountant to join the French Institute, Michael S. Laman Trip FCA, to take over the latter’s client base managed in his firm, LT Expertise. This acquisition consisting mainly of British and American clients is due to take effect officially in January 2014 and will be implemented gradually. The owner/partner of LT Expertise, Michael Laman Trip, will continue to perform the liaison between the clients and the new owner A2B Audit.at least during the coming year.

• Organisation

The firm is built on the collective know-how of 24 members of staff who form its teams.
The three partners share the legal and financial responsibilities of the Group and carry out their day to day professional activities as Chartered Accountants, statutory auditors and managers.
Damien Baron is in charge more particularly of the large accounts. Jean-Philippe Boudoul looks after the audit clients and Nicolas Boone specialises in payroll related assignments and new technologies.

Accounting assignments ie bookkeeping, preparation of statutory annual accounts and tax returns (including VAT) are performed by a team of twelve staff with differing specialised know-how. A full-time team of four staff carries out the statutory audit assignments.

The payroll related assignments are the domain of a team of four staff.
One person runs the Legal Department which also performs company secretarial tasks for our clients.

The new international clients will be served by several members of our staff who are known to have the appropriate skills to meet their specific needs. They act under the supervision of the international partner, Michael Laman Trip.

The new technologies partner, Nicolas Boone, assists his colleagues and the clients in optimising their information technology systems.
